Who Can Benefit From Audiology?

If you suspect that you are suffering from hearing loss or distortion, if you can't hear when someone is speaking to you due to background noise, or if you know someone that suffers from hearing issues or shows symptons of hearing loss—difficulty understanding conversations, persistent ringing or noises in the ear or any sudden hearing loss of any kind—then you or they are a good candidate to see an audiologist.

Children should be seen by an audiologist without delay if parents suspect any hearing problem. Immediate attention is critical to ensure both hearing health and proper speech & language development. Special testing equipment allows children to be evaluated at any age — including newborns.
